It is amazing to me to think back to the story of how I became interested in the world of children and family photography. This family is the whole reason I can call myself a photographer today! The short version is that I knew them through church and avoided Laura like the plague (she scared me!)… anyway when I babysat them (with bff Sherri), I thought they were the cutest children ever! At that point I believe the kids were ages 12, 8, 2, and the twins were babies. Baby #6 came along when the twins were about 13 months old! I started to go to there house constantly during the week to “help” (play) with them.
I bought a cheap point-and-shoot camera to take photos of them because they were so adorable. The neat thing for me was being able to be a part of so many milestones with the youngest three- walking, talking, potty training… I have to warn you that terrible snapshots are about to be posted:
Falling asleep in doorways…
First adventures with homemade ice cream….
Bath time….
First steps (she walked like Frankenstein!)…
Potty Training….
Halloween! (I am going to miss this the most!)
It is so wild to me that the twins are in kindergarten! Where does time go? What happened to those chubby cheeks?
Really, all of them have grown up so much….
I guess this pose isn’t so fun when you’re 13!
Thanks for the memories B. family! I hope the flies are out of your home now!
